Weapons

This page is here to better explain my character's weapons/items and all of that goody-goody stuff that he likes to cary around. So...yeah. Enjoy. XD

Badru seems to have an odd assortment of weapons and items but each one serves him well in battle. (Armor is displayed as well.)

Halberd(?)- If it is not a halberd then it is much like one. It is made like a spear except for just below the steel spearhead is what appears to be an axe-like head that suits perfect for the weapons. While this weapon is smaller than a halberd the gnoll calls it so, since it seems to be quite similar to the thrusting and slicing actions of the halberd. This weapon gives the gnoll a good advantage in the distance of attack but the further away from the top he holds the weapon then the weaker its slice or thrust will be. The pole of the weapon is made of a flexible steel and thus he can use it to quickly deflect certain swords, axes, and staffs. ((As of now this weapon has been broken and I have yet to find a way of replacing it through actual RP posts instead of just making another one *poof* from nowhere.))

Throwing dagger(2)- Though originally designed fro chucking blade first at his enemies for a clean cut or a clean penetration the gnoll will often draw one of these from the hidden inners of his loose fitting chainmail to thrust at or slice at his foe so that he may step away and make some distance or perhaps even run away. The handles of the daggers are five inches in length and the blades are five inches in length and two in width, becoming far less than an inch nearing the sharp tip.

Sword- A short sword made for quick attacks and an easy grip of the hand. The handle is eight inches long, long enough for a two-handed grip so that one may make a final thrust, and a foot and ten inches at the blade so it can penetrate throughly. The blade has no special traits.

Cai's Head- The head of a once innocent, young girl no more than the age of five. The long hair of the head has now turned deathly black and the skin has tightened against the uscles and skull. Lingering inside this powerful weapon is the soul of the young girl he killed. This weapon is swung about by its hair and hurled at the gnoll's foes like a morning star of sorts. Using his Necromatic spells, Badru is able to add an extension on to the weapon, an extension that comes from the palm of the hand he holds the weapon in and connects with the hair of the head. The extension is black so it it is hard to say where the hair ends and the extension begins.

Shard of a Mirror- What is he going to do, cut you? Maybe. But what this item is truly used for is so that he may use one of his most powerful spells taught to him by one he hopes is a friend.

Chainmail Vest- A vest made of chainmail, chains linked together to form a protective yet flexible armor, that hangs loosely on him so that he may reach in to the sleeve ends and retrieve from his hidden vest pockets his daggers. This armor does little but it will protect him from arrows, sword cuts and stabs, axes attacks, etc. though he will still feel the impact of the blow itself.

Are You Wondering?

Have you noticed that most characters who have all of these special abilities and special weapons never really gained them through actual RP? Now I'm not saying work for EVERY SINGLE ONE you have but at least work for most of them. Don't have your character be at the peek of his/her powers as soon as you make them. Cai's Head I gained from an actual fight and from an actual character who really did accept her death. (And without OOC confrontation. -applauds- Though she made me help her make a new character. lol) The shard of mirror he has and the spell he unlocks using that item was given/taught to him by an actual character, a demon as far as I know. The daggers, minor weapons, not much explanation needed really. During a fight, the same fight in which he obtained Cai's head that is, his spear was totally destroyed and thus now I have my character looking to find a way to replace it instead of suddenly *poofing* one up becaue then what would have been the point og having him even lose it? So maybe I'll find the materials during a RP to make one or perhaps steal a similar weapon from someone and shape it so that it was like the weapon I had before. Little yet big stuff like this I like to make apparent. To me it makes the RP more fun and more interesting because it gives it more of what so many people seem to be looking for in RP today; a story. Like I said, just little big things like that can add so much more excitement.
