Gnolls

A gnoll looks much like a seven foot humanoid hyena. They are very powerful and very quick. Though they are rather stupid they do hold a certain amount of intelligence. If someone is stronger than they then they steer clear of angering that person. If someone is of equal strength to them then they will leave them be unless that person has something they want or the gnoll is hungry, and if they are weaker it all depends.

Gnolls are a nomadic race though there are many clans/packs of them. Each pack though will not have any that are stronger or weaker than the next, only those of equal strength. The good thing about gnolls is they are not "racist." It is not an odd site to see goblins, orcs, trolls, or other such creatures running with a pack of gnolls and they are treated as equals. Those races must face the same trials as any other gnoll that wishes to join their pack. Females are treated just the same. Young gnolls are raised and protected fiercly by their mother until the age of seven. The average life xpectancy of a gnoll is thirty-five years.

If a gnoll were to leave a pack and wish to join that same pack later then no hard feelings would be held and he/she would be accepted back immediatly.

Those gnolls that do not belong to a pack are known as nomads. They hunt and scavenge and hunt for their food and will eat anything ranging from animals to human(oids).

Gnolls are not much for the higher-ups in armor and weaponry so it is doubtful you will find a gnoll in a suit of armor or with such weapons as crossbows or anything not made by them. It isn't uncommon though to see one wear something simple like a vest of chainmail or perhaps a fine sword or spear it might have stolen.

Gnolls also have no sense of money so currency means nothing to them. They often barter using furs, leathers, hides, weapons, and meat.

		Are You Wondering? Gnolls are vicious but they are not evil. They fight to kill and kill to eat. The are accepting of any ace that will run with them and accept them. Badru here has made 'comrads' with a Drow Elf and perhaps with some sort of Necromatic Demon.
